Default Offset Mounts; How Strong?

I plan on getting these:

http://www.kuryakyn.com/products/584...ckable-offsets

to move the passenger pegs forward a few inches on my '97 Wide Glide so my wife's calves don't hit the saddle bags.

My question is: Will these mounts be strong enough to support the full weight of a passenger on one peg as they mount/dismount? Particularly, the lockable splines? Anyone have experience with these?

Thank you!

I can't say about the ones your link goes to but I've have the "under seat peg mounts" and they've held up great for quiet awhile. That may or may not help.

I would try passenger footboards, (My wife likes hers, She's 5'10" tall) Read the warning/caution about them in your link. Not sure how your Passenger mount.

I have these and my son is the only one who rides with me and he weighs 100 lbs. However when I first put them on, I put my full 250 lbs on one side and the bike would have fallen over before it broke. I was skeptical, and I only bought them as part of a package deal on some other stuff I wanted. However they were so sturdy and my son likes them better than the boards so they have stayed. I like them because it is easier for me with my stubby legs to maneuver in parking lots.

Thanks everyone, I'll ask the wife if she wants boards or keep the pegs.

I feel better about them from Sw1's response.
