I've never felt guilty of not riding enough to just the cost of my bike. It's paid for and only cost insurance and maintenance. I do however feel guilty of leaving the kids behind sometimes, but there teenagers and have plenty to do without us being there.

No, but sometimes I feel guilty when I'm out riding on a Saturday while the rest of you are running errands or mowing lawns.

Last few years, most of my riding is for work. Paid to ride 200 miles a day, quite often. I haven't been touring, my vacation has been out in the woods.

Nice thing about riding to work, is I get ride during the nice part of day, especially in the fall when it gets dark early.

For me, it is fix.

Never. I washed one bike once this year at the car wash. Haven't waxed any of them since maybe 2010.

+1 I have spent the better part of my entire life on a bike of some sort. Bicycle till the third grade, then minibikes till 7th grade then Honda 100 motorcycle and six more motorcycles after that. I am 57 so no i dang sure don't feel guilty for sitting in my easy chair on the weekends watching TV or reading on the HDForum.

No. That's a strange thing to feel guilt about.

Interesting question by the OP. I thought I was the only person who felt this way. Life just seems to get in the way of riding for me.

When working around the house I often hear the unmistakable sound of a bike going down the road nearby and I can't help but feel frustrated (and a bit envious) that I am not out there as well. Heck, even at night while in bed I will hear that sound and can't help but smile that I too have a bike.

Just this weekend I was working in the garage and there she sat, all alone, begging to go riding. I have to admit that I gave in a few times and went over to her, sat on her and just took in the feel of sitting on her.

As summer flies by, I feel even more guilty that I haven't gone riding as much as I would have liked to this summer. In a few months winter will be here and PMS (parked motorcycle syndrome) will kick in.

yeah, what she said. I keep telling myself I want to ride to work more, but the damn traffic.... if I leave in the morning by 6:30, the ride into Dearborn is good. but the evening traffic doesn't clear up until after 7:00 p.m., especially with the I-275 closure tangling up all of the north-south main roads.

I like riding. I don't like standing in stopped traffic with a Big Twin roasting my chestnuts. I'd rather save the riding for the weekend when I can easily spend hours on two wheels, enjoying the ride.
