I have a 2011 Crossbone and my brake light stopped working and I got a red light on the right side of my speedometer on. The rear lights is still on but, neither the hand brake or foot brake activate the brake light. Tried an original brake light module and a bright *** brake module, with the same results.
Before I trailer it to the dealership, what else could cause such an issue?
Since both are out, I would check the brake light fuse, and ALSO the cruise control fuse, since in some cars & bikes the 2 are on the same circuit.
Might be a dumb question but...did you check to see if the brake filament of the bulb was burnt out?
If that red light's on, the bike's throwing a code that can at least give you a starting point. With the ignition switch off, hold down the trip button, then turn the ignition switch on while still holding down the button. Your gauges should do a full sweep, and then you can use the trip button to cycle through codes on the odometer.
