Default Front wheel instal on 39mm front end

Hi guys,

Just installed a 39mm front end on my 84 fxrt - my previous 35 mm front end had an axle without a hole for a screwdriver in it, and also had these little caps on the bottom of both forks.

The new one I just got has an axle with a hole in it and one of the fork legs (left one facing the bike) a cinch bolt that needs to be tightened to hold down the axle.

My question is: What's the sequence in which I tighten all the bolts/nuts and to what torques?

Just wanna make sure i do this right. Thanks!!

Vlad

Default

Tighten the axle nut to load the wheel bearing first then the cap nuts to lock the axle in place and recheck the axle nut with a torque wrench. Don't remember the torque off hand sorry.
