Default Paint imperfections in new bike

So I've had this bike for over a month now (2016 RGS) and the sun hit it just right today and I noticed the tank has these weird spots on them. They're under the clear coat, and this certainly isn't a metallic flake paint lol.

Thoughts?

Anyone been spray painting in the area? Paint travels, unfortunately.

EDIT: just saw the part about being under the clearcoat.

it's on both sides of the tank, too. I'd like to bitch about it to the dealer, but I doubt they'll care.

If they don't care, get another dealer.

Did you get any kind of warranty? Man, I'd be bitching about that for sure.

If it's clearly under the clear coat, then it's a defective part IMO. The dealer better deal with it. Its still under factory warranty.

For as noticeable it is in the pics - I'm surprised you did't see it earlier...

I bought it new so it has factory warranty. I'll send the pics to my sales guy tomorrow and see what he says.

I saw specks early on, but they weren't very noticeable. They almost looked like they were part of the paint job, but the sunset tonight put light at just the right angle and lit everything up.

I should have got blue lol

Quite a few years ago, I bought a new HD and the tank had a paint drip. It should never have passed a quality control inspection. When I showed it to the dealer, the response was some customers might not be bothered by it. The tank was replaced.

The dealership 'Should' replace the tank. Good luck & let's know how it turns out.
