I didn't like them. First tire change I went to Metzlers. Quite happy now.

Dunno details of your ride / tires but I own a softail Breakout and can say that going from OEM Dunlops to Dunlop E3's was a night and day positive difference in handling and wear. If you check out tire threads over on the "Everything Breakout" thread you'll see that "anything but OEM tires" be they Metzeler, Dunlop, Avons,, whatever get great reviews. Dunlop American Elites seem to be getting excellent reviews on other machines too.

Have 9,700 on a rear tire (Dunlop / American Elite). Still has about 1,000 miles left on it. I will order another soon.

Been running Metzler tires for a long time, and swore I would never go back to Dunlop piece of shitz. Needed a new tire on the Ultra and my dealer wasn't stocking the Metzlers because of the so called issues at the time. They talked me into (heavily discounted) an American Elite as a replacement. Wow, I would honestly argue that it wasn't Dunlop if there wasn't a giant brand name on the sidewall. It really is a good tire.

I don't know if Harley still uses the 400 series on any new ones, but those were the worst tires I've ever ridden on. One of my sportsters had brand new ones on when I got it, and I pulled them off with probably less than 200 miles on them. Even Honda used those tires for a while, and they weren't any better on a metric; I had one of those, too. Newer model Dunlops get mostly positive reviews, though. The Avons I put on my Harleys are great, except in snow. Yeah, I tried that...

I've read that Dunlops are American made, but one of mine said made in France on the side.
