Default Trade Value for a 2009 Electra Glide UC

Hello. A HD dealer is offering $8,000 for an Electra Glide Ultra Classic with 84,000 miles. Is this a reasonable offer? NADA low retail is $8,794. KBB trade in value (good condition) is $9,950, but I guess it's not "good condition" if it has 84,000 miles. Bike runs good. I'm interested in trading up to a 16 RG Custom.
The EGUC has 12 inch Burly Bagger Bars/Apes and RC Exhaust, no other upgrades. They really don't take those two, small upgrades into considerations. Thanks.

Unless you know someone who really wants your bike and will buy it, I personally would trade it. The market is tough right now, especially at 84k.

I never even thought of trying to do a private sale, because I figured it would be too difficult with the high mileage. I'm trying to get the most out of it as a trade. Thanks for the advice.

Good luck with the trade. What are you looking to trade it for? That may influence what you get.

The problem right now is the saturated market on used bikes. 1 local selling magazine in my area generally has around 150 + Harleys in on average right now. Most people are trying to unload bikes rather than store them and sell in the spring and than than others are trying to sell to upgrade to the new M8 or so

Looking at Road Glides and Street Glides, between 2013-2016 models.

If the dealer has the bike you want and they will take your trade in then I would go for it. It depends if the dealer will take your bike on trade or not.

Highly unlikely they will re-sell it,it will go to a wholesaler. I'd go for the trade.

The dealer will take it. I just have to make a decision.

That's a lot of bikes sitting in idle. I just would like to get something with a little less miles.
