People who say..Motorcycle Dangerous.
I'm sure its been brought up in threads before and people don't even bother preachin it to me anymore, but hear it from a few guys telling guys who have recently bought a bike or are talking about it.
You all know the the people who try to discourage bike riding and never stop talking about the dangers of riding.
I've read it here before. Just want to post that the three guys I have to be around.... are tormenting by continued persistent attacks and criticism bout riding motorcycles to new riders or people voicing the desire to ride.
Also like to post that all three of the guys have almost died, been paralized and/or seriously hurt at.....home!!
So whats that means??

When people choose to tell me how dangerous riding is, I swiftly tell them, "my grandfather lived to be 102 years old." This is usually followed by, "did your grandfather ride motorcycles?" Whereupon I reply, "no, he minded his own business!!!"

Riding a motorcycle is dangerous, I know that, but I don't need to hear non riders going on and on about it either.
I don't know if it's an envy thing, but there is no need to rationalize to me why they would never own a bike.

Sure they're dangerous, since there's little or no protection if you get hit. My cousin was killed in the mid 60s on his bike by a DUI driver.
But car crashes happen too. And airplanes. Crossing the street is chancy too. But riding bikes is a risk that we choose to take...like most anything in life.

If you look at the likely ways to die, you'll see that just walking is more dangerous that motorcycles.
That said, is motorcycle riding dangerous? Sure, but mostly due to cars and their ignorant drivers texting more so than the actual riding of motorcycles itself. How many motorcycle accidents involve a solo motorcycle where the rider wasn't speeding? Probably very few.

Slipping in the tub is extremely dangerous, this nation is becoming a bunch of cats. If some people had their way everything would be controlled by big brother and there would be nothing else available

By that logic no one should drive cars. I got messed up pretty bad in a car accident, do I stop driving cars now? Everyone dies at some point. If they had never ridden a motorcycle that's kinda f'd up for them to say. i never been skydiving, but I don't go around saying its dangerous and warning people not to do it.
