Default my new (to me) dresser came today

bought an '06 FLHTCUI on ebay last week, pretty cheap, spur of the moment purchase. Arrived today, and it has a few issues I could use a little help where to start

Clutch is VERY hard to pull. Takes 2 men and small boy to pull the lever. I'm going to check to see if it's binding somewhere, Hate the idea of chasing things through the fairing though.

And

Left directional turns on as soon as the power comes on. Haven't looked to see why or how to shut it off, but just hitting the directional button does not do it.

and oh my God is it dirty.. I'm not much for washing my bike, but it looks like someone sprayed it with dust

Plan is to clean it up this weekend and start looking at what's obviously wrong right away, check cam chain tensioners, change fluids and take it around the block a couple times

Clutch could be the cable. If it has set for a while and not used its hard on the cables.

The turn signal switch is broken it sounds like, when you turn the bike on mash the other signal switch then turn it off and see if that cancels both.

Pretty risky buying a vehicle without trying it first. I hope it works out for you!

Dust is a good thing, it suggests it was stored inside. The blinker issue was one I had on my 01 Deuce, it was the switch. Looks clean.

It's a 10 year old bike. Check the age of the tires.

Change all fluids including flushing the brakes. Clutch cable probably needs to be lubed and adjusted.

Good looking bike.

Any signs bike was dropped on Left side...? Seems funny both issues are from that control (clutch & signal). If you check primary and fluid's all good, I'd start by dissecting the Left controls and see what things look like inside. Also, just get a new clutch cable. Trying to work/lube an old one is pointless waste of time, for a $60 part.

Congrats on the bike tho...looks pretty sweet.
