How to remove the Front Axle Nut Covers
Trading my Dyna for for a new RGU.
Trying to salvage some of the shiny add-ons to save a few bucks on the new one, I am trying to get the Front Axle Nut Covers off. the right one came right off, but the left one won't budge. I have twisted off two allen wrenches and still no go. Any idea how to get these damn things off without destroying them?
Thanks!

What does this mean :
"I have twisted off two allen wrenches and still no go"
Do you mean the set screw is stripped ?
Do you mean the set screw was removed but cap is still stuck?
Do you mean the allen wrench itself is stripped?
A common error is to use the incorrect allen wrench or to fail to insert the allen wrench the full depth or a combination of both.
Automatic transmission fluid is rather good at helping to break bonds.
If someone used a threadlocker then placement of an allen wrench inside and holding wrench with pliers as you apply heat to wrench.
The heat will transfer from wrench to set screw after a minute or two..a small blow torch style lighter would be fine.
Just as an FYI that ACE hardware has many of those set screws in stock.
