Check the wire going to the starter. My brother was having similar problem. The wire was barely touching the lug that bolted it to the starter. Replaced lug and all was good. Possible your problem.

You have a connection problem. As stated above, check for ground(s) clean all connections.
When it clicks did you check for voltage on both sides of solenoid, is power getting to starter if so how much (voltage meter).

One click per starter button push is power to solenoid, need to see if it is reaching the starter.
Moss code indicate poor ground or bad connection.

Then maybe a bad solenoid or starter.

Trying to remember if or what you can do to check which it might be. Out of curiosity did you check the wire lug where it bolts to the battery, is it loose in the lug? Also follow the wire from the battery to the starter. See if it's crimped or pinched. BTW what year is your bike?

You say you replaced the battery 7 months ago. What's it been doing since then, sitting or riding?

You said you checked all connections. Sometimes the obvious. Have you checked the starter switch itself?
