Screw that FOB crap. Biggest mistake automakers ever did. My '07 does NOT have security; one of the reasons I bought it! Major pain in the DUPA,both on my bike & my Vette. Smith & Wesson & Allstate are my security.

FWIW; I had a bike WITH security & did NOT want it. Dealer offered to swap me a security-free ECM, or whatever it's called, for my security ECM & FOBS, free of charge. Woulda tooken it except I sold the bike. Check with your dealership.

I would try the last 5 digits of the VIN. That is how my dealer set up the bikes I purchased.

I would think you could trailer it to a dealer and they could solve the issue? I'm sure you are not the first.

Good luck

The dealer should be able to plug in and get you the pin.
They did for me on my 05 Fatboy that I bought used.
That doesnt help you get it there though.

This is why you want to have two FOBs. I keep one in a very safe place. As long as you have the FOB you can recover your PIN. Ask me how I know.

Fobs are cheap. When you get this figured out, buy a few spare ones. Sounds like your system is pretty reliable so I'd keep it if you can. FWIW, I have a keyless ignition in my Mustang and and on my bike and love it. Just got to keep track of the fobs.

To the OP; I believe the Dealer is partly right in that you'll need to get the bike to them so that they can unlock the system.
I say "partly" because as mentioned by Deadman77, I would imagine all the Dealer needs to do is tap into the system and either retrieve the code or reset it to the factory default.
