The G4's fit a little large, the Vanguard's fit a little small. I would order 1 size larger than you normally would with the Vanguard.

I could easily wear a medium in the G4. The vanguards in size large are a little tight, they should pack in though.

Mama bought me a tour master heated liner for Christmas, picked up a set of Vanguards at the local Cyclegear, Temps have been in the 60's around here almost all week...

I have the Gerbing G3 already or I'd pick up the Vanguard.

Personally the battery life of the 7v isn't enough for me. Particularly if I go on a trip. I can easily do several hours at a time and running out of battery life isn't an option. 12v is the only way to go for me.
Thanks for the input from all so far. baka1969, as I stated 12v hard wire isn't an option with a 6v system.

Oh crap! My bad. I totally overlooked the part where you have a 6v system. Yep, a 7v battery is the way to go. Maybe having a pair of spare batteries will keep you covered on any trips that last more than a couple of hours?

There really is no substitute for heated gloves. It was low-to-mid 30s tonight and the gloves did their job!

Good luck!

Each mobile Warming item comes with a battery and charger so since I got the gloves, jacket and long John pants I have 4 batteries. I then bought the 12volt charger that can plug into my Rushmore power outlet so I can charge spare batteries as I ride if necessary
