Default Battery Operated Heated Gloves

There has been a couple of threads about heated gloves but not specifically about "battery-only" types. Hard wire does not work for me (no place to hide the wires on either my 84 or 65, and my 49 is 6-volt).

That being said...what I have found.

Gerbing S3 Heated Gloves,

Ansal Mobile Warming LTDX Max Leather Gloves,

AlphaHeat Premium Battery Heated Gloves, and

Volt Tatra Heated Gloves.

The above listed use the the 7-volt rechargabble lithium batteries, have four heat settings provide roughly 2.5-10 hours before recharge is needed (depending on heat setting), are waterproof, and cost around two large bills.

I saw one post giving good ratings on the Gerbing.

Anyone with specific information on the others I have listed (both good and bad)?

Are manufactures sizing specs good?

Do the gaunlet ends easily cover your leather riding jackets?

Quality of product?

Do they last?

For "2 large bills," they better last a lifetime!

I've always seen Gerbings for around $200/pr. Not $2000.
Also heard Gerbings is in some finanncial hot water. Dunno if it's bs or not. Sure like their product though.

200 is what I meant. On a retirement income that is large... to me anyway.

I have two pairs of heated gloves:

An older H-D pair that still works fine and a newer pair of Gerbing T5 Hybrids that has the battery in the gauntlet cuffs (12v) and they also work of my bike power jack.

Best I can tell, on "low" the batteries last approximately 3 hours, on "med" about two hours and on "high" about one hour.

One of the batteries seems to go dead a bit before the other but by this time all of my snowplowing/blowing is complete so it really isn't an issue for now.

I see now that Gerbing has a lower voltage (battery) glove that appears to offer more heating time but of course they wouldn't be compatible with the bike (12v) power supply.

I have the Mobile Warming LTD leather gloves. Can't say enough good things about em! Super warm even before I turn on the heat. I use them when I ride my Hayabusa in the winter time. Its a sportbike so there's no fairing or wind protection and I'm not Sunday cruising..... They have 4 settings 25-50-75 and 100% I've never had them above 50% and my hands stayed nice & toasty. Longest I had them on was for a few hours and they still had plenty Juice left. Only drawback I can say about them is that they are a tab bulky but after 20 mins of riding I didn't notice anymore. They are pricey but I got good deal on them and don't regret it. I liked them so much I ended up buying the heated jacket and long johns.

You could also go with those chemical activated disposable glove inserts / hand warmers.

Revzilla is having a closeout sale on the Gyde (Gerbing) G4, Hero and Vanguard 12v gloves. They're $89, $119 and $119 respectively.

I have the Gerbing G3 already or I'd pick up the Vanguard.

Personally the battery life of the 7v isn't enough for me. Particularly if I go on a trip. I can easily do several hours at a time and running out of battery life isn't an option. 12v is the only way to go for me.
