Rejetting 2001 xl1200 cv with drag pipes and new air cleaner
Looking to put on a new air cleaner, nothing special, just a better look, and some drag pipes on my Sportster. Trying to figure out if i need some different size jets. I know stock is 42 slow 170 main but not sure what i should do for the next size up. Would be very appreciative of any help.
Thanks,
Kyle

Actually the drag pipes would be your down fall for power unless you are baffled or have torque cones installed, you won't have back pressure to aid in the scavenging of exhaust gases. As for as the carb, maybe go up one or two sizes in jets also adjust the idle mix screw out maybe a turn and a half. You'll just have to play it by ear.
