If you can wait until June to make your decision, I'd suggest a trip to Americade. They have a huge demo selection. I'm certain Harley has, and would probably continue to be there. I'm fairly certain Indian has also been there.

Indian is on its way out again. Writing is on the wall. Not enough dealers, support and volume to make it viable. Poor track record keeps most sane people from buying one. Like buying a new Yugo. You have to like the vintage look to buy one making it a very limited market. Resale blows. No one will like you if you ride one!

I just considered this quandry. I had a beautiful 14 Daytona blue limited with xm....detach tour pack.. Slip stream everything. that custom color was best in several years Imo. I was yearning for Indian because il like old school looks.. And fact that the road master is most of a cvo for 10 grand less. I found a 14 low miles cvo limited that I went with because it was 26k and perfect. I'll never pay 40k for new again. at 6'2" I thought the Indian was better for tall guys but found it no better that Harley. Indian makes beautiful bike for 10k less. I also had jackets and lots of Harley stuff that would have to go. so...hemmed and hawed for 3 months. Went with upgrade to cvo.

I wouldn't touch Indian with a 10 foot pole.

Sorry but a Indian Roadmaster is not in the same league as a CVO. Even the guys on the Indian forums admit this.

And why they went back.
There are a couple of guys on the forum who went back to HD after owning Indian, maybe they will see this.

Stellarpod had one and sold it https://www.hdforums.com/forum/off-t...l#post15807360 , post 6497

I am white but I don't have an Indian!

I was looking at Indian Scouts but the material quality seemed much less than the FXDL I ended up buying. The bike looked and felt more like a cheap jap cruiser. No offense to Polaris intended. I've been eyeing a hi-ball for quite some time but once I saw it in person, again it seemed "cheap".

Polaris rather sudden decision on Victory is enough to keep me from ever considering an Indian.
