Is Securecap locking oil cap just a little over priced

Forced Buyers
I'm wondering how many people here were forced to buy these products ?
If you want or need either of these products, then off your butt on your feet. If not, like has been said before, it's a free enterprise system.
You have to admit it's a lot better than someone from the EPA telling you how you can or can't tune your bike and what equipment you can use.

Thanks but no thanks.
Not commenting on if they're worth the price - just not an item I need.
1. Oil shennanigans are incredibly rare. I've been involved in MRO a VERY long time and I can think of it happening once. That was on a CAT C-15 and a jealous ex. Sugar. Actual damaged caused? 0 There was a charge for us to clean etc but insurance picked that up for the owner.
2. Too many people already neglect a rudimentary pre-trip on their scoot. Checking the oil should be part of that every time. The last thing I'd want is to make that a pain with the lock. It becomes an easy excuse NOT to check the oil and vandalism isn't the only reason why I want someone checking it.
Good luck.

I don't see a problem with commenting on the price. That's the kind of feedback a company can use.
With Harley Davidson Oil Dip Sticks selling between $39.00 and $59.00 dollars, that's with a temperature gauge, is the extra $40.00 to $60.00 for a lock a good value? I don't see it, but Maybe if you hang around people and places that put your bike in the position to need this product. Than here you go!

Thinking you've been a member almost 3yrs longer than Chicken and you just noticed it, So maybe he'd notice it in the next 3yrs also;
I also use Ad Block to speed up my page loading and I seldom ever look at the adds.. Usually only when I am looking for something and I've never had the need or want of buying a Locking oil cap.. I did buy the HD oil cap that has the thermometer in it 9yrs ago.

You know that little star headed screw on tbe bottom of your switch housing......throttle lock! That particular one was released in 1983....oh and it came with your bike...for FREE!

There isn't one on my 02 Softail S/S and the one on my 07 SG isn't accessible while riding especially with gloves.

Then someone took it off or it fell off your softail becuse it came with one...as far as using it, set it so it holds but you can still roll the throttle off and forget its there!
