Harley oil supplier
Is Harley still getting their oil from Citgo or have they changed suppliers.

They've changed over to squeezing virgin baby seals. So i guess you could say they've changed suppliers.
|
Any body know if they have changed suppliers and if so who?? Personally I don't believe they have but I heard a rumor.
|
Never heard of Citco.

Haven't looked it up or thought about it for Yrs... I just keep buying and using Mobil 1 V-twin 20-50 in all 3..

Sorry, should have know better than to ask it here. I will take it to an oil forum. Have a good one.

Whoever it is thats running the Syn-3 batch, I remain convinced that its a Group III synthetic. That would explain, (for me at least), how it is you can use the same grade in all 3 holes and why HD doesn't brag the presence of PAO's or Esters in the product. Normally producers of PAO or Ester product sing that fact to the rafters as, among other things, it accounts for a synthetic's high cost.
http://machinerylubrication.com/Read...ase-oil-groups I'm generally skeptical of product offered at suspiciously competitive prices whose ingredients are so proprietary and technically futuristic that they'd need to kill you if they told you whats actually in it. Motul & RedLine are proud of their Ester bases. Likewise, Amsoil, Royal Purple and others sure don't mind you knowing their base oils are PAO's. Syn-3 ? "Its simply wonderful", "but don't extend your service interval". Aaawwllrightythen ! |
Does this help?..:icon_tinykitball:
