Default I'm Back - But without a bike

Hi Everyone!

I do not have a bike right now

So I am open about my life and the things I experience so I am going to tell you how I ended up where I am now, how I ended up with no bike, and what I want to do now.

I joined this forum in June 2010. I had just purchased a 2010 Ultra Classic after not riding for 26 years. Just a few months after buying the 2010 I rode to Sturgis and made it there in 2 days and made it home in 2 days.

The following year I was going to go to Sturigis again but I took a southern route from Maryland where I live through southern Colorado first and then north from there through the Rockies.

I kept the 2010 Ultra Classic until late 2013 when I got a call from my local HD dealer and that they had a 2014 Limited coming in. I had told them in October 2013 that I wanted one and it needed to have Whiskey/Silver paint. So they said in the call that one was on the way. So I went and bought the day they called and was riding it with in a day or so. That bike was an awesome motorcycle.

Mid summer 2015 I started getting sick with a brain disorder and that hasn't been identified to this date. This illness has taken my job, my bike, my high performance cars, and my livelihood. Thankfully and gratefully, I still have my wife, dogs, house, and family! The house will go though in 3 to 4 years.

The 2014 Limited was sold in May of 2015. I no longer had any balance and began falling over stopping and starting. Painful situation with more to come.

I've been on every medication related to brain disorders that have similar symptoms and every treatment for brain disorders with similar symptoms. Most of the medications and treatments had severe side effects that my doctors communicated to me but my doctors wanted to stop the progression of this disorder and keep me alive.

I ended up with most of the severe side effects which took away the rest of the memory, cognitive skills, motor skills, put me in a wheelchair several times, and caused nerve damage in my limbs.

I've bounced back some and stabilized as my doctors hoped and they think that as I age I will not get worse.

I am truly grateful that their goal has been achieved in spite of the side effects.

So my goal now is to get a Tri-Glide Ultra Classic because I won't be able to ride a bike again.

I found Tri-Glide a few days ago on March 18th and it was still for sale when I called March 19th. It's a 2010 Tri-Glide Ultra Classic and the same color of the 2010 Ultra Classic I bought in 2010. It only has 19,000 miles on it and the price was just under $20,000

I got in touch with the owner and made an appointment for March 27th to see it. I called him today to confirm our meet and he told me the Tri-Glide was sold. I fully expected that to happen though.

So my mission now is to get back on all of the HD forums I belonged to since 2010 and see if I can hunt down a Tri-Glide that's not more than 8 to 10 driving hours away but even that is going to present a challenge because I will have to get a Tri-Glide home somehow and I think getting tags out of state to drive it back will be a problem. I can't do anything for 30 days now either. I also have limited funds and will need to stick to as close to $20k as I can and get a used Tri-Glide with no more than 20,000 miles. If I can't do those things I'll just wait and keep my eye out on the forums and cycle trader where a lot of used bikes end up.

If anyone knows of a Tri-Glide for sale with the requirements I specified in the paragraph above this please send me a PM pointing in the right direction.

Thanks for listening!

Sorry for your misery, glad you're stabilized. Have you also considered a sidecar?

That is a tough deal and very sorry to hear of your misfortunes. One shop I frequent has a number of trikes and within your radius. Here is just one I see within your price range.

How old are you? Are you overweight? how is your blood pressure? Meat eaters usually have high blood pressure and clogged arteries. When blood flow to brain is decreased, all s..t starts happening, depending on which part of brain runs low on blood. Stop eating meat, loose 30 lb. and you'll be like new. Good luck!
Send me PM if you want more details.

You can't be serious. So, every meat eater is 30 lbs. over weight, has high blood pressure, and clogged arteries? I guess I'm just lucky, because I'm healthy and am not a vegetarian.

To the OP, good luck and I hope you find a bike soon.
