Moving up to 1200 ride with daughter

And grandson puts some parts back on the 1200 - not the clutch, Grampa did that, just installing the case cover. Yes, he followed up with a torque wrench! 5 years old here.

Talk about making some memories!

Very cool.

I've always wanted to ride around Europe...probably too late now. Most I did was around France for 1 week.

I finally got my ole sporty '96 choppa back to normal. This was the first ride in about two years since some snowflake texter decided to put a Toyota imprint in the small of my back. (Still got it). As you know I been riding with a red primer colored rear fender all this time, but finally found a '96 original factory paint to match! Gave it a good shakedown yesterday. And cleared my brain.

The pic below, I was trying to get the dang pic challenge of a drive-in. Funny, that challenge was last week!

Lucky me.

Great pics of making some memories!

I rode in this morning...59* & overcast, uneventful but nice ride.

It's now 72* and sunny, and I'd rather be riding that sitting at my computer!

But I do have a nice ride home to look forward to.

More Mississippi Fun
A week or so ago we had some friends from Vancouver BC down to enjoy some good MS riding weather. They drive their rig and stacker trailer down to Phoenix each fall and leave it and several bikes so they can come south and ride during the winter, then bring the rig and bikes back to Vancouver in for the Summer. This trip they came east to MS and spent 5 days riding with us in MS with trips on the Natchez Trace, The MS Delta and various Central MS back roads. We will meet up with them again in June to head to SoCal for the Born Free Show.

Pictured below is the crew pulling bikes out of the stacker at my house to get ready for one of our rides as well as a pic at my favorite watering hole on the Natchez Trace "Ratliff Ferry" about 30 miles north of Jackson MS

Now THAT is a way to include the family in motorcycling!
Time to get the g'son on a PW50 though.
Gear him up fully, from head to toe. Take him to a vacant lot somewhere that's flat.
If you ride with him, be sure to ATGATT yourself. Everytime.
Monkey see, monkey do.

This is the definition of AWESOME!

"A Day in the Life..."

I read the news today, oh boy
About a lucky man who made the grade
And though the news was rather sad
Well I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph......

That's him driving my Ural sidecar rig in the sig pics, with Mom in the sidecar taking the pic. On dirt in farmland, first gear only. He handles it pretty good. Odd thing is, he has no interest yet in bicycles. My daughter says when he does finally ride a bicycle, she'll get him a small dirtbike, and a PW50 would be first choice. Even in the sidecar, it's always helmet and gloves, leather in cool weather. Will need to get him a mesh armor jacket when he does get a bike. That half pot he's wearing in the sig pic is just for slow back country dirt roads, pavement he puts on his Bell ff.
