Strange morning...

One cager pulled a weird u-turn in the middle of a 35 mph curve, at the same time another cager started driving the wrong way on the road (to get to a mailbox). It was a bit of an obstacle course to get thru their antics.

Then, not a mile later down the 2 lane road, there was a car traveling between 30 and 40 in a 55 mph zone, plus weaving like drunk at 8 am this morning. Took a while to get past them safely.


(This is a road I travel almost everyday, and it is not unusual to not see a single other vehicle on this road.)


BUT, Before all that! This morning THREE of my Four key fobs had dead batteries. ALL of them were working 3 days ago, at least one of them was working yesterday.

Very weird that all three would fail within a couple of days of each other.

I put fresh batteries in all four...and went on to work.

Hah! Someone on another forum warned me off from buying a lottery ticket!

All in a day riding. I actually have it pretty calm compared to many who ride in a big city everyday.

Been meaning to do this for over a year...finally got around to it yesterday. (it was raining, so it made it an easy choice to not ride, but get some work done)







Between the loose factory tolerances, and the quality metal, I had a pretty good rattle going between the shifter shaft and the case bore.


Remove linkage, remove shift arm, remove shifter pegs and shaft. Drill hole, thread hole, install Zerk fitting. Clean all metal out. Put back together. Grease gun to Zerk.

Not anymore! All quiet now.

which gives me an excellent idea; I recently won 25 g's on a scratch ticket, so I think I'll do a state wide run and buy about a hundred dollars of lottery scratch tickets at each stop....the more I stop the more expensive it gets!!

I was at Bumpus HD a few days ago and saw this-





Been seeing videos and photos of the Tilting Motor Works conversion for years.






This is the first time I've seen one in person.






It is quite a bit narrower than the Tri-Glide and Freewheeler.






While I did not do a test ride (no time when I was there), I do plan on doing one soon. It seems like an alternative for those that need/want 3 wheels, but still want to be able to lean over in the curves.




There is a switch on the handlebars-







When it is turned on, the hydraulic system goes on, and anytime the bike is under 7 mph the hydraulics bring the bike straight up.







You can mount the bike when it is on the jiffy, push the button, and it will bring it up off the jiffy, and hold it up until your speed exceeds 7 mph.






It appear to be of solid construction, & has independent suspension...






...if the bike has ABS, the front brakes tie into it, so all three wheels are ABS.






I remember first looking at these 7-8 years ago. Good to see they finally got it to market.
