Default Total mileage on ultra classic

It may be the age old question but I have a 2010 ultra classic with 34k. Outside of two tires and many oil changes it is stock. It runs perfect but for normal wear. battery, starter clutch gear looks next.,,bla bla. I dont have a problem with it as it has been a blast but am curious, with good to excellent care and holding, what is the typical mileage I might look for before engine rebuild or bike change. will I get 100k? any input on this would be appreicated.

At the rate miles are going on the bike it will be 13.58 years before you hit 100k. By then the bike will be almost 21 years old. It'll need a lot by then.

Randy,

I traded a 2010 last July with 56k miles and would have riden across country without concern. I have a very good friend with a 2009 Ultra Class with 130k miles and still running the original drive belt. He did upgrade the motor at 80k miles because he wanted more power to a 103.

Drive them right, do the service and enjoy.

CR

A good friend recently replaced his FLHTCU ... 117,000 miles ... He said it was time for a "color change"

With normal routine maintenance your bike could last 100K miles or more, as is testimony above. Or you could go out tomorrow, twist your crankshaft and grenade the motor. There are so many things that COULD go wrong with any mechanical system that asking a question like this and expecting someone to provide you with an answer that you can "take to the bank" is kinda' ridiculous. Stuff happens. If you don't maintain your bike then you are more likely to have issues but even the most meticulous and regimented maintenance routine is NO GUARANTEE you will get 100K or more out of your motor.

It is hard to say; but I have an '03 FLHTCUI with almost 100,000 miles on it and a '94 FLHTCU also with almost 100,000 miles.

170,000 + on friends Ultra. About 120K on a Road King I have. Don't sweat the small stuff as long as normal maintenance has been done.

Was with a guy some years ago that pulled over to take a pic of his bike turning 200K.

208,000 miles on a '94 Evolution Softail. Motor was rebuilt in '02 due to a lifter failure. Current motor has 118,000 miles on it and runs like new.

If you take care of it, it should last you at least 100k. My 09 ultra classic has almost 105k, The motor was replaced under warranty because bearing in the bottom end went bad.
