When I need to go somewhere, I take my Honda Pacific Coast.
When I want to go somewhere I take the Road King.
So, in early spring and late fall, I only ride the Honda. It offers good protection from the weather and it can hold a lot of stuff in the trunk.
In the summer, I mostly ride the Road King "cause it's all about enjoying the ride.

Just got the SGS few months ago, but took the Dyna out for a local jaunt this past weekend.

I found myself missing my fairing and music, though the dyna is more nimble and sporty. I can see it being that way for a while. The wife is trying to get me to put mids and lower the bars on the Dyna so she can ride it...I figure that way it'll stay in the family.

All in all, this year I've put 800 miles on the Touring and like 40 on the Dyna...but I do take the SG to work (30+ miles away).

What was this thread about? I need to stop day drinking.

Probably ride the SG more often, and certainly for more miles than the Fat Boy. My GF puts almost all of the miles on the Heritage.

Since I've got my Diavel I rode the Fatty once in the past year. I like the capbilities of the Ducati much more than the FatBoy. Since the hip replacent 7 months ago, the Fatty is a pain in the *** to back into parking spots. The real reason is the Diavel does everything so much better.

I put the most miles on Road Glides and Sportster's. Have to schedule in the Dynas and Softails are they would be forgotten.

I'm sorry to say but if you can't afford two bikes in retirement you shouldn't have retired.

It wasn't my idea to retire...it was the a-hole company I was with for 16.5 years. And at 68 this year, I was ready. Besides, I've NEVER wanted 2 bikes or 2 cars. I can only use one at a time.

I guess you have 2 houses and 2 or more of everything else.

The new ones getting the miles now but I did dust the shovel off for a little spin today . Man talk about worlds of difference in machines, RK's like riding the recliner couch compared.

I usually ride my Ultra when I am going touring or any distance or on the odd occasion if I can get my wife on the back. If I'm going local I'll ride one of my cool bikes; the Fatboy Lo or the Wide Glide with a springer front end. It makes no sense to have have both these bikes for the amount of miles I do on 'em so my Mrs tells me but which one do I cut loose? But I tell her I have 2 sons. Does that make any sense? They cost me a shitload more than the bikes but I probably won't get rid of one of them either.
