Default Switching btwn oil types

Just picked up my 2010 FLHTC from winter storage. I had the dealer perform the 15K Service & specified to used Synthetic Oil. After riding home (28 miles) noticed the work order only called for standard HD 360. What harm has been done, and should I change it back to Synthetic immediately?

No harm, no foul.
Just change it at 5,000 miles.

On an air cooled engine I will run regular oil 2-3 thou but never 5. I will run 3-4 thou on synthetic.

Won't hurt anything, but does it say you requested synth on the work order? If so, take it back and point it out to them, they should change it to synth for you for free.

How much did the oil change service cost? Were you charged for synthetic?

OP posted this on 7-20-2010:
"New Member - New Bike (2010 FLHTC). I changed the factory "break-in oil, both engine & trans @ 500 miles with Syn3. @ 1000 miles, my dealer changed all oil using regular oil. What problems will this cause & should I change back to Syn3, or continue using Harley's regular oil?"

That must be why there are so many oil threads....its such a complex, complicated, mysterious substance.
Unless you use Amsoil of course...because it makes you feel good and your engine is now quieter. And several layers of "distributors" make money...
