Look twice? The message should be look up from your phone!
It is appreciated that LEO is trying to do something about it. You know what would be awesome? If they would put cops on motorcycles to ticket people on the phone. I betcha that people would be scouring for bikes while driving just so they wouldn't get tickets. Nothing gets your attention more than a hit to your wallet and a license suspension.

In Calif., May is "Motorcycle Aweness month."
Caltrans signs may say."Look Twice Save a Life" or
"Look for motorcyclists"
It's nice but we ride every month/week/day here.
Finally- Yes, distracted driving is a real problem. Don't know if "self driving" cars is the answer. Then "drivers" can be as distracted as they can be, and still not be a hazard. My fear is someone hacking the controlling computer and running cars/ trucks/ buses into each other.
Well, that and the self driving sensors don't recognize the Bott's dots so the cars are all over the lanes...

Being in Tennessee, we ride 50+ weeks per year. There are always bikes on the road. Unfortunately, cagers are still not seeing us. Cagers turning right in front of me seem to be the most common issue. I stare these people down as I am approaching them, and often drop a gear to slow down. I honestly believe they stare right through me at times. SMH
