Default Front tire size ?

I have a 2008 Softail Custom with the 21" front tire. The tire size is MH90-21. Can I use a tire that is 90/90-21? I believe this is one size bigger than factory tire. I've read on here some have used these, I just want to make sure this is safe. Thanks.

A 90/90-21 will fit perfectly; run them for ages now on 21" x 2.15" wheels. You will notice the difference in handling and stability.

And.... Pirelli Night Dragons, for the win

Never used Avon tires on an HD; I've been using Pirelli on all my Wide Glides. With my '13's rear wheel being a 17" x 4.5" I'm not comfortable spooning on an oversized Avon tire; it will pinch on the wheel and alter the tire's profile. Avon isn't doing a 180/60-17 so I'd need go use a larger sized rear tire.

Pirelli does manufacture a 180/60-17 which is the max size on a 4.5" wheel. Night Dragons have been flawless for me on my Wide Glides, their profile and composition bring the bike to life

I used a Heritage wheel and tire on my 2000 Wide Glide, and I covered it with a fat boy front finder.

I believe Avon Cobra Chrome comes in a 180/60-17 although a bit pricey at $330.
