Default Anyone used Barkeepers Friend for their chrome?

I was looking the Barkeepers Friend at wally world and was considering for polishing the chrome on the bike. However I'm concerned that it being a mild abrasive like Comet it may do more damage than good. Anyone used the stuff before?

Your concern is correct. It is an abrasive and would do nothing to improve the appearance of the chrome. It would be like cleaning the paint with Comet.

You might try using Harley-Davidson Chrome Cleaner. It doesn't have abrasives but it does clean and makes chrome shine.

There is this stuff called WINDEX. They sell it just about everywhere. Try it, you'll be freakin' amazed!

S100 makes some great stuff too, I think it's called metal or chrome soap. Comes in a tub like real wax

Windex for cleaning chrome and Turtle Wax Chrome Polish for shining and protecting it. Been using both for a lot of years.

I always use windex and maybe some mothers polish. Ordered some master formula metal gloss so we will see how that works. Just did the polish a can trick they do at the shows expecting to feel like I wasted $20. Stuff seems to live to the hype.

We use Bartenders Friend in our stainless steel sink and it scratches, dont use it on your chrome!

I'm in the process of polishing all the chrome on my bike using Turtlewax chrome cleaner/polish.It works great with no scratching.
