Default It's Buying Day! Whats your one piece of advice?

Headed to the dealership. Everyone here had theirs...some several, this will be my third buying day. What one piece of advice to pass?

Know what you want and can pay. Don't get swept into upgrades you don't really want or need.

Yep ... Some of the best deals can be made just as you're walking out the door.

Remember, in the hour or so your at the dealer at least one hundred new bikes have probably been assembled. If the deal doesn't feel right walk, there's no shortage of them out there.

Sage advice from all of the above. Two private sellers and two dealerships in play. I'm at the old fork in the road...new or used. The damn thought of staging and piping one more bike, kills me! Then again, remembering buddies on the side of the road cursing the craigslist deal also makes me *gulp* for a second.

Suns out...and its going to be a good day to ride...or walk away. I wish that 107 engine had a year or two under its belt. I heard only good things about the 103.

If you do buy and do upgrades - bring all the stock parts home. Someone can use them or when you sell you can put them back on and sell the upgrade parts separately.

I'm with the others. Don't be afraid to walk away. If they really want to sell, they'll work with you. If they hold a hard line, there's other bikes a'plenty

Bring a practical friend who isn't emotionally involved in the purchase.
Common sense minds turn to mush when buying a Harley.
Ignore all the add-ons (extended warranty, service contracts, theft prevention devices) the finance mgr tries to sell you.
Did I mention Spring is the wrong time to buy a bike?

This ^^^ and what the others have said. Let them know you're serious but don't hesitate to head for the door. They also know you can buy elsewhere!
