Harley sportster 1990 - will a 2003 seat fit?
Hi - I'm putting my 1200 (1990) HD Sportster back on the road and have a chance of a 2003 Sportster seat- anyone know if it will fit?

Probably not. Usually the range of mostly interchangeable parts is 93ish-2003

try looking up a new seat on J&P or some similar website for your bike and see what the fitment covers, they usually have that info. Or then look one up for the other bike and see if it's the same number.

Look close... I think seat fitment is like 1986-2003 on most sporty seats

As well, I was going to suggest getting an accessories catalogue (free) from any dealer and that likewise would mention years of compatability.
