Sunscreen Lotion Or Cover Up?

Sunscreen Lotion Or Cover Up?
Was just wondering what the preferred method of pre-ride preparation was, to use sunscreen lotion or to cover up with clothing for sunburn protection? Attachment 519198

I always apply sunscreen to my face, back of neck and arms. All the rest is covered by clothing. I will say that I like wearing long sleeve t-s when it is not too hot.
Saw some bikers last year with very light weight long sleeve pull overs on over their t-shirts. They wore they simply for the purpose of blocking the sun. Actually looked comfortable.

I recently returned from a week in Florida and I had brought a Sunblocker rated at number 55 for my neck, face, and other exposed parts.
I have become a riding gear person over time, FF Helmet, armor, etc.
It was hi 80's to mid 90's while i was there.

I know...... but this Yankee would melt.
I made believe that I was 16 and invincible again, and prayed for the best.
Man am I glad that I had sunblocker.

I try to wear long sleeves as often as possible in summer. It's just more comfortable for me. And I apply dual spectrum SPF 50 a few times throughout the day. 50 blocks 98% of the rays. I've been using Sante Lobo. It's great stuff. Soaks in fast, it's light and it doesn't aggravate my skin. I go helmetless and I'm hairless and my head doesn't burn after a full day in the seat.

There should be no visible skin when riding, IMHO... Maybe a little of my neck showing that isn't covered by the jacket and helmet. Protective jacket, riding pants, full fingered gloves, and a full face helmet. No sunblock needed.
But I'm weird and like my skin on my body and not on the asphalt.
