Bought my 2010 Dyna SG 15 months ago from my next door neighbor/good friend who was the original owner. Ron bought the bike new 7 years ago at age 70 and put 18,220 miles on it. Went for a ride this morning and came home with 36,450 miles on the odometer.... I finally have more miles on it than Ron.

While it did take a full 15 months on the calendar I lost 3 months of riding last year to time spent in San Diego caring for my elderly parents so my 18,230 miles actually took one year of riding. Being retired and living in southern Arizona I "can" ride about 350 days a year.

So now ownership has fully passed... Ron comes over just about every time I roll in {somehow he manages to hear the Vance and Hines 2 into 1 Propipe}, to talk about the ride. Yes, at 77 he still rides splitting his time between the 87 BMW R80RT {that I initially bought from him before trading it back for the Super Glide}, and his Honda CTX 700.

It would be hard to find a finer friend, neighbor or riding partner and we are headed out to the KTM open house on Saturday. Life is good!

 

That's great, but you coulda just peed on it.

 

True, good friends aren't easy to come by and keep. He sounds like one of those people.

Ha good neighbor and good friend. Somehow I am left wondering if he ends up owning the Glide again one day. You just never know!
