I spent hours searching online including forums, YouTube, etc., for helmet racks. Some were ok, some were ridiculous, but I specifically wanted affordable, something that wouldn't damage my helmets and something that I didn't have to dig through a closet to find when I wanted to ride.
I happened to have a half sheet of 3/4" plywood sitting in the corner of my garage and put some ideas together. Jig saw, sand paper, glue and paint.
It was definitely cheap and allowed me to add a couple of other things I hadn't thought about, including sunglass's.
Works for me.

Funny you say that. I am goateed but by day 3 I'd had enough fun and wanted to get it done. I may yet get more creative.

Serious question: Do the liners get dented, where the helmets rest on the rack? I would be afraid the foam would compress permanently after a while.
