Default Needing advice. Facts. And opinions!

Hello everyone. I currently ride an 06 883 sporty, and its time to step it up a notch.. or 2! I want a bigger bike in general, i realize that i could put a big bore kit and make it a 1250, but like i said i want something bigger in general ( and definitely harley!) I would love to hear from some of the more "seasoned" bikers of what some of their favorite harley models are, year of models why it's their favorite/why you would recommend it. ALSO FEEL FREE TO POST SOME OF YOUR BEST/FAVORITE PICS OF YOUR HARLEY! I COULD USE ALL THE ADVISE AND IDEAS I CAN GET!! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATES!!

If you're coming from a Sportster then the Dyna is a very logical step. But what do you like and dislike most about the bike? What kid of riding do you do?

Rent from your local HD dealer, and see what fits your style best.

You already own the best value in the entire HD line up. The price difference between a "48"(1200) and an "Iron" (883) is $2700. Do you think that it costs HD $2700 to build a 48 compared to an Iron?

Now extrapolate that theory upward throughout the entire HD line.

Well Evansc93, If you want advice, facts, and opinions, then you have come to the right place. In my opinion the very best "do it all bike" would be a Road King. The reason that I feel this away is because you can do any thing with them, If you just want to run down town to get a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk the Road king is great for that. If you want to just ride around and look cool the Road king is good for that. If you want to commute back and forth to work the Road king is great for that. If you want to spend hour after hour after hour in the saddle the Road King would be great for that as well. The only place that I know of, that the Road King does not shine so great is the red light to red light speed the Dynas and Sportsters can out run a Road King. Here is some more great advice, do not walk into a dealership and start looking at bikes the way they look, look at bikes the way you wll want them to look a few years down the road. Look at my sig pic, I did not buy it that away, I had to swap out my turn signals, and toss the extra lights, and windshield mounting hardware, and get a set of pipes that both are on the same side.

I went from a 1200 sportster roadster model to a road king classic. Best move ever. But, I did it because I wanted to do more touring, and the roadster was just not the bike to do it for me. I could have put the money into it and made it that way, but opted for an RKC once I took one for a test ride.
As others have said, take a few for a ride. Try out a dyna. A heritage. A road king. Decide what you want the bike for-commuting, touring, bar runs, etc. Make a decision based on that.

There's a reason why the Street Glide is the most popular model.
