Default What did everyone else do?

Hi,
I was just wondering. I just traded in my bike that had a tourpak which is where I mounted my gated communities barcode for easy community member access. I no longer have a large flat surface to mount a barcode sticker on and my community requires a "permanent" mount. Anyone here ever find or use a mount of that sort?

Do they have any requirements other than being permanent? Does it have to be located in plain view? I've seen a couple different products that are semi-permanent, normally used for mounting vehicle inspection stickers if the owner doesnt want to stick it on the frame. There's a lot of them out there I think, possible to mount in different locations.

How about on the lower part of your windshield where it wraps around your headlight Or mount a inspection sticker plate on the the crash bars. That way you can ride without the windshield on. Just some ideas.

In my case it's gated to keep all the rif-raf IN!

The bar code sticker has to be permanently adhered to a surface on the bike. I was thinking that a small piece of Lucite attached to the right side rear view mirror somehow would work. These are normally stuck on the side of a car, most likely rear window, where the bar code scanner (window height) can read it. Somebody out there has purchased or made this mod. It's just a matter of finding him/her!

Put it on the right side of your helmet, that's where I put mine.

Seen polished aluminum plates mounted low, by the front axle for college parking permits or military base creds. (Yes,I know base stickers are no longer used.) They scan ID's now...

Can you adhere to a magnet and put it on That way?
We have vehicle decals at work that are about 1 3/4 square. I found a piece of magnetic backing that some folks use for their business placard. Trimmed to fit decal. I take it off when not needed.

Low part of the front fender, if it's a bar code...out of sight but seen by the infared.
