Default Getting fuel and fire still wont start

I got a 2000 FXST I'm trying to get back on the road for a buddy it's getting fuel it's getting fire but no sign at all of it wanting to run no backfire no popping nothing I'm stumped like I said it's getting fuel and fire I've tried all the logical fixes that everybody is going to first throw at me that's why I'm stumped could somebody please help me get this thing out of my garage I need the room.
can somebody tell me that knows if the battery fuse on this bike is used because I pulled the fuse the fuse is good but if you look inside the fuse box there's only one contact clip inside on the female and of the fusible Link in the Box is it supposed to be like that it seems to me like one side the link is missing please help I've looked around for a wire that may have fallen out but I see nothing thanks to anybody who can help

I would make sure the fire is all the way to the plug. If you have been cranking it a lot, the ceramic could be saturated with fuel causing the electrode to ground right to there. Pull the plugs, ground them and crank it. If there is spark to the plugs and no spark across the gap, even if they look OK, put in new plugs.

Needs compression...

Or spark at the right time.
How old is the gas?

new question I kind of figured out why it's not starting I just got off this morning turned it over space and soap on the motor and it is sucking air through cam cover

Sounds like the timing is off causing the spark to fire before or after the compression stroke. I had a Sportster do this once. I replaced the crank position sensor and all was good.
