Best suggestion is to watch your step when the chips are down.
Check for leaks and take it for a test ride if the seller will let you. Once it's good and warm, do a hard acceleration and a hard stop. When you get back, let the bike sit awhile and check it again for leaks.
I am a new member and looking to buy a 1993 cow glide does any one have any recommendations ?
If you find one in good shape (mechanically) and it has the original seat & bags in great shape jump on it (if priced reasonable).
There was one listed about a month ago in this area.
It had the original bags & seats saved in boxes and the price was not bad.
I almost bought one the year after they came out still in the crate, still kicking myself for not.
Love the bike
I bought a '94 Special (the "black angus glide"- had black angus fur inserts and a white/silver paint scheme) back in '93. I've owned it ever since. Absolutely love the bike.
