if I need to change it, I have to do it during their business hours, and hope to get the new map emailed by the next day.
that's why I was thinking FP3...

I just upgraded from the FP2 to FP3 last month and very much found it worth the money. I had been running the FP2 for a few years, so I felt I got a good run out of it.
Bottom line: My bike ran noticeably better with the FP3.
If the rest of your stage 1 is VH parts, then you could keep the FP2 and get a very accurate map from them and you'll put in the numbers. She'll run well, no doubt.
But the thing that makes the FP3 more versatile, and useful, is you can experiment with your own maps with the touch of the screen, and then tune even better with the autotune.
For example, my bike has non VH parts as part of my Stage 1. I chose a map for pipes similar to mine and a high lo similar to mine. It ran really well with that flash.
I experimented with a few other flashes, but really liked my first one. I went back to that one, and am running the auto tune off it now to make it even better.
(PS, I am not sure about the VIN being locked into one bike with the FP2. I don't think that's the case because it connects to the bike, and you input your own numbers, or map.)

man, that's a great price ! I think they were like $499 When they first came out. Hard not to pull the trigger on that, and sell the FP2 - if it's not vin locked...

I had the original Fuelpak on my 2010 ultra and it ran ok for a couple of years he I started having little problems a miss every now and then and the bike just didn't run great the it really started running bad I sent mine to Vance and Hines they checked it on the computer and said it was fine. But what they did next sold me on v&h they put it on a bike and rode it then called me and said I needed a new programmer that's when I went with the FP3 and what a difference my bike has never run that good. Imho go with the FP3
