Has anyone replaced the stock shock bolts with chrome ones on their Electra Glide Ultra Classic? If so can you provide the specs?

OE is pn#3607 which is 1/2-13 X 2" Grade 5

 

What, You can't go out and measure them for yourself? Why would you want to replace them when you can't see them in the first place.

Polished Stainless steel is much better than chrome over the long haul. You need to call Diamond Engineering and order your bolts from them. They sell them by kit number after they find out what you want to change out.


Do NOT listen to the girl who answers the phone about what you need to order. Talk to someone there who knows what they are talking about. I still have a few bolts that I didn't need after listening to her.
DE sell stainless bolts...If you really want chrome, then get in touch with a Custom Chrome dealer. The chrome plating will peel and rust after you loosen and tighten them a few times thus stainless is better.

Word of caution with the chrome bolts. If you don't know, there is a chance of the bolts galling on the receiving hardware, in other words they might seize on you. The chrome plating on the threads may come off and lock up. A way around that is to put some grease on the threads and tighten nice and easy.

 

Thanks for the heads up. Didn't know that could happen. Thanks to dyna rider I found a nice set of polished stainless ones from Diamond Engineering.
