Default Is this normal for a dealer?

I got an e-mail from a local dealer and they advertised a used bike for sale.
The bike of the week they called it. It happened to be a 2013 model.

They gave the price of the bike, and in small print at the bottom it said...

"Sale price plus HDMC freight, ADM (added dealer markup) tire fee, electronic filing fee, tax and licenses where applicable."

They wouldn't add all that to a used bike would they?

Sure they would. They're a business to make money and someone will buy it.

My gosh man, do you expect them to give you the tires free? They can put anything the want on there. However, when the write up the contract, they will add a whole lot of it as a lump to get their screwing you totally and put that on there and of course the legal stuff. They will even try to do that legal stuff twice if you let them. Real easy to do if you do not keep track. Most people don't care, so why should they.

No different than car sales. They'll tack on what they can get away with. If you're interested, take a test ride and get an "out the door" price. That stops their trickery fast. Be ready to walk if they don't meet your price point. My 2 cents.

For what it is worth,
In Calif, even with a used bike, a dealer has these extra fees:
electronic filing fee, tax and licenses.

For a used, I don't think these fees are applicable:
HDMC freight, ADM (added dealer markup) tire fee.

Although the tire fee in Calif may also be in the addition list even for a used bike.

They forgot the KY jelly fee. Oh wait, that's free!

No tire fee. The advertised price is plus tax, license, document and smog (cars only if required). That's it. Any other fees like "added dealer markup" would be illegal. The dealer would be cited for false advertising for that BS.

And they probably already charged the person who traded it a prep fee.

That they're including freight on a used bike suggests to me that someone is just filling in the blanks on a template. Around here a dealer would never include freight on a used bike.

I'm just wondering how they got a used bike with no tires? And they must have paid to have a used bike delivered? Then the dick fees start. If your interested in the bike I would walk in to buy it and not pay a dime over what they advertised except tax and title.
