Default Electrical Help... WTF???

So, I was going over a few thing on my new to me 08 Heritage today and noticed that someone has REALLY greased the steering neck. Grease was all over the top and bottom of the neck. So, I get out the trusty degreaser, clean it up and proceed to wash the bike. Only an hour before I rode it to town to get a couple of things.

NOW, it won't start. I have lights, neutral and oil light but, no odometer, turn signals or security light and no start. I checked all the fuses, everything was dry under the seat but, I pulled all the connections apart and reconnected just to be sure. Nothing.

I can hear the system relay click when I turn n the switch and also hear the IAC run.

What am I missing?

I don't know about the extra lube, if I get caught in a heavy rain sometimes the conectors on my starter button have to be wiggled not making good contact enough to turn the starter

Found it. Had a blown fuse that didn't look blown. Checked each fuse with my meter and this one "Battery" was no good. Live and learn.

Keep a couple spares in your bag, for future issues.

Fuse block has 2 spares in it but, you are right, there will be a pack of spares in the bag. Now to figure out "WHY" it blew. This should be fun. LOL

You are too stupid to diagnose it, pay somebody. Your question is just stupid. "My fuse gets blown, what to do?" Diagnose it, moron, if you can!!! Try degreaser again, it should work!!!
