If anyone has any experience with air adjustable height shock kits, especially DIY kits, Inwould love to hear about it. It seems to me that the Legacy system is the best I've seen, but it has a hefty price tag. It doesn't seem that hard to put a system together yourself and save a lot of cash.
Legacy? Maybe im missing something but havent heard of it and i've tried a few air rides. Sure you dont mean Legends?

Just remember road obstructions are now 1.5 inches closer to the bottom of your bike, like speed bumps.

I realize you probably already know this, but you can get a set of 12" HD take off shocks on Ebay for around $100.

Friendly update.

Have gone about 200 miles riding two up with absolutely no problems. Actually think the shocks perform better with the additional weight. Solo, with the badlander seat I feel every little bump in the road, but with the additional weight of he passenger the shocks actually make for a smoother ride.
Never came close to rubbing. I'm happy with it. I wouldn't go any lower than 1.5 inches

I had a set of lowering blocks on mine so I could reach the ground flat footed.
They made the ride kind of crappy.
I bought a set of arnott 16 way adjustable air shocks to replace them.
Best money I ever spent.
At the press of a button I can go from 0 to ~100 psi and choose the best ride for the current load.
I can press the dump button and get the bike low enough to easily flat foot it for backing out of a parking spot.
I normally run between 40 and 60 psi.

Just my opinion, but when I see these bikes lowered like that,it looks like there's something wrong with the suspension.

I think they look badass. Haha. Live the stance if a slammed bike.

What kind of $$ did the Arnott's set you back? They aren't cheap. You seem to like them, are they worth it?

Don't mind me, but that just sounds funny.
