Default Big City Thunder opinions

Hey guys I got a 04 1200 sportster with screaming eagle 2 slip ons they still have the original baffles in them I'm fairly happy wth the performance of the bike but one of my buddy's has some cheap *** slip ons and they sound a little better than mine since my bike is nicer I would like it to sound better and as I understand if I were to just run no baffles I would dig into my performance so my question is will the big city thunder baffles for the Se 2 give me a louder/better sound without a decrease in performance or is there any other suggestions for something that would not requiring any retuning considering I have the stock air filter still

Running without baffles will definitely get much louder, but you'll probably suffer loss of low end power and more decel pop. I used the BCT QQ baffles and they sounded great, but they're not cheap. I would get rid of the baffles and get a set of DK Customs TTI's.
Much less money and the results are great.

I just looked into those there cheap enough where I would try them for sure what model do u suggest and do they bolt right into existing baffle bolt hole? Also how's the back pressure wth these I tend to ride hard and don't wanna hurt anything by not knowing enough info before playing wth new parts

They provide very good back pressure. They may fit in the current bolt hole. I have the SEII mufflers and I had to elongate the hole just a bit to get the insert in. It's a pretty tight fit all around, but not a big deal to make them work.
As for which ones, you should call them after you measure the ID of the mufflers. They will advise you as to what will work better. They're a sponsor here and very willing to help out.

I have had big city thunder baffles in my old bike for about eight years. Love them.

Do yourself a favor and get a free flowing air cleaner otherwise you are just making noise for nothing.

I recently took out my baffles and put in the DK Torque Inserts. I'm extremely pleased with the way my bike sounds now. It sounds louder, deeper and more of a rumble, but it's not too loud if that makes sense. Back pressure is also good, no issues with bike performance. I used the exisitng hole but I had to drill it out to make it a little bigger.

I just installed the QQ's from Big City Thunder on my 2017 Road King. Running V&H Power Duals and V&H OS 450's. Removed the V&H baffles and replaced them with Big City Thunder QQ's. Great sound, no power loss, pretty darned loud. I love them so far.

Also look at Smartpartz baffles, cheaper then BCT if you have to go with baffles. The TTI's seem to work well on the Sporties

I've used BCT baffles in all my bikes with no issues. You get a slightly lower tone, albeit somewhat louder than most baffles that come with aftermarket exhaust.
