My local dealer charged me around $300 for a dyno tune after I did a top end on my 06 Heritage Classic. I'm happy with the tune. 99 hp/102 tq on a 97 inch S&S big bore kit with SE ported heads.

I'm no expert but have used PV on 2 bikes. Assume your using "Basic" with factory O2 sensors? When you go to Autotune set-up, timing is changed for the process making the bike run crappy. And you really have no need to be running in the open loop area, like 80+mph! Just fill in your graph the best you can, look for % change, export learned and load new map. Now go party!!!! When % change is in the +- range of <5%, you're about done. Hope you bought from Fuelmoto for support

If OP has a mid-range torque dip because of the Covington pipe no auto-tune will fix that.

I don't know how far you are, but GMR Performance is in Ft Worth. If you want the most power and drivability, call Steve. If your willing to settle for less, there are numerous options.

Yep, timing is retarded to protect the motor during the AT process. Once you flash the tune, the back will run much better.

Okay so auto tune dont try and run my normal 80mph . got it i will try to stay 65 and under tomorrow see if i can fill the graph. This is my 1st time adding more than slip ons and 1st time using a tuner so steep learning curvefor sure. My intake should be here this week and will have to go about it again. hopefully by then will havea better understanding of my pv.

most hd dealers do not have a tuning expert. so, I do not recommend getting the dyno from a hd dealer.

I have a power vision, it is very good. works fine. however, if you can find tuning expert, a dyno tune along with the power vision will give you the best results.

It's worth it to me, since bikes now days are a TON more complicated than in the 70s when I had my old bikes.
