I'm a single dad with fifteen-year-old boys. It's hard for me to get away for trips on my bike, but somehow the planets aligned, and I got lucky. I'm off work and my sons are in West Virginia with my parents.

So I jumped on the bike and rode from Davenport, IA to Milwaukee. I lived in Milwaukee for 10 years--my sons were born here--and I enjoy coming up here from time to time.

I stopped at House of Harley, went to the Harley Museum, and stopped by Miller brewing. It was overcast all day, and I rode through some rain. It was absolutely awesome! I love the M8 Road King (Hard Candy Hot Rod Red Flake) and I need to get out like this more often.

 

Awesome! I'm not a single dad, but with two little ones at home I definitely understand how difficult it can be to get away. Sounds like a perfect day-trip

 

Single father of my 12 year old daughter who is with me full time. She is finally old enough I can get away more often as she can finally fend for herself. The last 6 years were kinda difficult to get away for day trips.
