Default Washing the RG - whoops

Take the RG out to give her a good scrubbing today. Jack her up in the driveway, get the hose ready and lay the blanket down in the garage for when I pull off the bags to get in behind them...

Grab the S100 and go to town. Wash and rinse... all's good. Grab the LH saddlebag and carry it towards the garage and .... dang it... I tripped on the hose, it slipped and I dropped it right on the concrete driveway. Of course it hit on a corner and then landed on the OUTSIDE...

No dents or cracks - but roughed it up pretty good.

Happy 4th! lmao

lmao due to some construction I had going in the house a few weeks ago, nothing was where it was supposed to be (cars parked, garage crap). Backed the bike out of the garage at 5:30 in the morning and it ended up next to the wife's car. Started it up and got off of it to go get my helmet out of the garage... well, since nothing was where it was supposed to be, I had parked it on a "reverse incline" - as I got in the garage, I watched it in slow motion fall over to the right (the jiffy stand was higher than normal)... one frame at a time... right into the side of the Mrs. car. Left some rash on the fairing and the right side bag. Left about a 12" dent in the side of her car.

Worst part? Having to wake her up at 5:30 a.m. to help me lift MY bike off of HER car... There wasn't enough room in there for me to get leverage.

It hasn't been my bike's month - but I'll take it. There are WAY more things to be worried about in life

How are you going to fix the bag? Get a new one? Or will you leave it as it is?

It can be R&R'd fairly easily - I'll probably let it go for now since there's nothing that can rust. Some day I'll have it repaired... or not. It's just stuff lol.

If it's little and not noticeable, I'd let it go. But if it was big, it'd wear me out thinking about it.

I just finished a total remodel of my kitchen. The "contractor" (and I use the term loosely) - jacked up my brand new professional cooktop, I believe by standing on it - bent the whole pan and other stuff I won't mention. $2,800 cook top that is fked up. I basically paid them to just go away. Every time I look at it I seethe. Was going to sue them for it but I don't need the aggravation. When I get a windfall, I'm just going to replace it and sell the brand new one for $50 - or maybe I'll drop it off on the contractor's front door. I see it every time I step up to the stove. So yeah, some things do wear me out just thinking about them.

The bike was my fault and I get to pick whether to fix it or not so it doesn't bother me.

That would be me as well. If it was something that only I noticed it might get a pass but not for long.

Yeah, I'm gonna fix it. Getting estimates for paint. $500 to replace the bag and lid with new parts.
