Millennials and Harley Davidson

http://www.businessinsider.com/mille...n-sales-2017-7

is this the death of harley Davidson?

I can attest that I have been detered from going to rallys and stuff because the crowd is older, not that older people don't know how to party, cuz they do. But it seems sometimes it's just a older white male crowd and frankly that can get quite boring.

So.......

What is your point?

Harley makes a bike for millenials, it's called the Street.

lol I'm a millennial and I ain't riding that shit. Other manufactures make way better bikes in the 500 and 700 cc class for 4/5th the price.

My comment was sarcasm

I'm a millennial and ride a Harley so we are out here.

You will undoubtedly notice that Honda and Kawasaki and the other manufacturers are doing much more with ATV's (power sports) than motorcycles these days. Harley won't ever leave the legacy they've built, and one that only older, more successful people would appreciate. Polaris' ending the Victory brand was the most visible sign of what older white people want. It is the legacy of 114 years of big cushy road bikes. Maybe the company won't grow much further, but I think they will always be around.

a lot is that that age group has no interest other than the newest smart phone, a waste of life IMHO.

This must be the fifth or sixth article posted like this lying about "Harley Davidson's Demise". The entire motorcycle market is doing poorly and in reality Harley Davidson has been doing better than other manufacturers. They do in fact attract young buyers, contrary to popular anti-Harley belief.

I trying to figure out if these articles are motivated by hate or some opportunist who wants to lower the share prices so they can buy. Millenials are young and without money and they don't want to pay the high insurance costs.

your right I have been seeing a lot of anti harley articles lately, but this one is different. It makes a point. My generation are less likely to ride. My generation is more likely to get the newest smart phone and stare at it for hours on end. Not likely to pick up a harley.

I know that was a sarcastic comment cuz anyone who takes a test ride on a street knows it's a lackluster at best. Sportster are the way to go.
