Anybody Still Riding EVO Bikes

Guilty. Know enough that it has its own set of challenges but sure like riding on it. Good vibrations to all EVO riders.
No offense but that bike is perfect as is. Apes would be criminal.

In no way trying to offend. I'm a newbie. I think XL's look great with tall bars. That's my taste but it's your bike and everyone configures their bike to their taste. Like I said, I'm new and will try and keep my opinion to myself. Apologies

Yes I did. I painfully learned when you rebuild a CV carb go ahead and replace everything to new where you can. I got really good at pulling that carb. It's my fault for being a tightwad!

my opinion is that while apes look good on some xl's, the r bikes are not one of them. that takes them too far away from their 'heritage' (even though they are already pretty far removed).

I wasn't offended. I feel lucky to have the bike configured the way I like it, and appreciate the compliments. Ride on, mah EVO brothers!!

Hello! I'm still riding my '94 FLSTN. Nearly 24 years and it's still my daily ride. 211,000 miles on it (122,000 on the current motor). Runs just like it did when it was new.
Yes, I look at the new bikes, and the M8 motor is really tempting, but I always end up going home on my old bike with a big smile on my face. Yeah, it's a Harley.
