Default Anybody Still Riding EVO Bikes

As my signature says, I have an 87 and a 2017. The power of the 103B, having a 6th gear, having turn signals where you only have to push the button once and not hold it on, and having advanced braking is really nice on my 2017. However, there is something about the older bikes that turns heads. I ride my 87 to a bar or dealer and I always get compliments and people are always asking questions about the bike.

I was just wondering who else still rides an EVO? I think the EVO may be the best motor HD ever made.

I still have my 96 FLSTN and ride it when I can. Get lots of compliments on it as well. Lots of mods for it and not all that expensive either, compared to my 07 CVO Road King

The EVO's are so easy to work on compared to new bikes these days. I honestly have no clue what to do about EFI. If something happens with my 2017, I'll be stuck taking it into the dealer. A CV carberator can be taken off and rebuilt in 3 hours by a mechanical idiot such as myself. The only thing about the early EVO's is they blow oil out the bottom of the air cleaner from the rocker breather line.

I am kicking around the idea of getting a Code Reader for my 2017. Does anybody have one that works?

I love my EVO powered Fatboy.
However the boss lady loves my 06 Electra Glide.
Says the Electra Glide is way more comfortable for her.
Nothing sounds like that EVO....

Great bikes, great motor, And I can work on it without any special (overpriced) tools.
Did you fix your sputter issue?

I had a 2005 Ultra Classic (A gutless pig). My wife would fall asleep on long rides. Have you ever sat on the seat or rear seat on the newer touring bikes? They are way more comfortable and have great power. If I had an extra $27000 plus laying around, I would love to have a new touring bike with the MW8. Too much money for me though. I have 2 titles in my safe. No payments.

By the way, the new HD bikes are absolutely awesome. Way more comfortable, way more power, better tranny. I wouldn't get rid of my FLS for anything. However, there's something about riding an older bike. It's also nice switching it up between bikes.

I have a 2002 883R Sportster that I'll probably never part with. Love my 2015 SG... but the Lil' Pig just has a certain cool factor

Haven't fixed the sputter issue. I just leave it in whatever position I started the engine in and don't switch it. Bike runs like a champ. I am going to change out the switch. Thanks for setting me up with some links to buy a new switch. Sorry about mistyping your sig. My bad and corrected

1997 Heritage with close to 50,000 miles. Just put in new oil pump, cam bearings and lifters so ready for another 50,000. Could buy a newer bike but like one I can work on and fix on the road if needed.

That's an awesome bike. I love the color. It's similar to the old AMF/HD paint scheme. Put some tall apes on that little guy and you're set
