Just to add that H-D sells disposable single-use Windshield Water Repellant Treatment Wipes. I have seen them but can't vouch for how well they work.

Opening the visor, it was then my glasses that got misted over bad enough to become semi blinded. I had to look over the top of my glasses and my distance vision is not good. It made for some tense moments. Thankfully it was early enough in the morning that traffic was light. I found a set of tail lights to follow until I could move inland.

So, yeah, I'd like to find something that works too. RainEx has not done much good for other stuff I've tried it on.
I'm a Pledge guy too. It helps the rain (an bugs) slide off. But it does not prevent fogging, which is caused by the temperature differential.

I've used everything that everyone has mentioned here except wax. They all work great. But I usually use the same Rain-X that I use on my vehicle windshields. In the 6+ years I've had my windsplitter, it looks just fine minus some scratches from a windshield bag. One note on the HD Windshield Water Repellant Treatment Wipes: they work great too but I've had them dry up before I could use them all so not really worth the money.

I have used Rain-X on face shields and windshields over decades.

No ill effects to the plastic, no extra fog build up....just a great product and disburses water as advertised.

If rain riding, I apply.

I just applied the Rain-X plastic to my windshield, we'll see how it does. Unfortunately the hard coating on my windshield is badly deteriorated, so I'll need to get a new one for next season

Use at your own risk!

I had to replace the windshields on my wife's '99 Heritage and my '00 Ultra due to the "fogging" caused when I used it on our bikes.

Perhaps they have an updated formula that is now compatible but be sure to read the labels on the container before applying it to your windshield or helmet visor.

I've used Rain-ex for plastic on my Ultra. wasn't impressed, found some good wax from Griot's seems to work better.

Before you spend the money on the Rain-X for plastic, go on Amazon and read the reviews, particularly the 1 star.
