From my experience, the CC doesn't trap heat, it merely directs it below your legs and out the back, instead of letting it be blown upon, and absorbed by, your package. Harley supplies a plastic deflector on some of the higher-end models, but not all. Having dealt with saddles and similar leather goods for half a century, this is a well-made piece of kit.

Actually no. As you ride it seems to act like an airfoil and directs air around the head and rocker box area which aids in cooling the rear cylinder.

Good on OP as I am sure Larry appreciates every new thread that comes up on his products. Having only been here a short time I have seen bookoo threads on this and comment every time and at that I am on my third bike with one. That being said I can't see having a Harley without one. Great product and if you are considering one contact them for customization options. Got a killer fender bib from them.
